My name is Carmen, and I am currently doing my master’s in Biotechnology at the University of Guelph. I have a strong background in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and I am currently interested in the commercialization of biotechnology innovations within the agricultural sector. My research project involves creating a strategy for the development and implementation of a biotechnology innovation to address the severe challenges that coffee production faces. During my free time I enjoy playing tennis and squash, drinking coffee, hiking, and capturing beautiful nature photos! I am also fluent in four languages and love to travel to immerse myself in different cultures.
