Katerina Tzimas

My name is Katerina Tzimas and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Governance. This summer, I am working with Professor Ruben Burga to publish an article I have written, in addition to providing editorial support. In terms of content, all of the articles revolve around sustainability. The article I am trying to publish is a scoping review that describes the intersection of topics such as circular economy, community development and stakeholder engagement. Most of the work I undertake revolves around the circular economy, waste, and systems change in relation to waste. For example, this past year I was involved with the Guelph sustainability office and worked to divert food waste from landfill as part of the on campus composting program. I am also involved with the student organization Enactus Guelph as a project lead for a project which seeks to safely dispose of waste associated with vape products.
