Dr. Burga is an Assistant Professor at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
He holds a Ph.D. in Management and an MBA, and he has industry experience in executive management of innovations and business development in high technology manufacturing and commercialization.
Dr. Burga is the Graduate Program Coordinator of the M.Sc. Management (Innovation, Commercialization, & Entrepreneurship) program at the University of Guelph.
He is a Professional Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Canada, with accreditation since 1986.
Dr. Burga has authored an Open Access textbook titled "The Integration of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability into Responsible Management," as well as journal articles published in various academic journals.
He is actively involved in interdisciplinary and experiential teaching and learning, serving as the University Teaching Leadership Fellow and researching the impact of experiential learning on students.
Dr. Burga is also engaged in promoting social entrepreneurship and student growth, both academically and through extracurricular activities. He serves as the Enactus faculty advisor, participates in the Enactus Global Faculty Research Network, and chairs the board of an entrepreneurial not-for-profit dance and theatrical company called Frog in Hand.
